Yogyakarta has an unique government organizational; Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwana X as the governor and Adi Pati Pakualam IX as the deputy governor. They both are kings in Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat and Adi Pati Puro Pakualaman. It was a tradition that heritable from Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwana IX (Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwana’s father) and Adi Pati Pakualam VIII (Adi Pati Pakualam IX’s father).
